About the company

Our client is a fast-growing software company.

The role

Raydar is recruiting for this role on behalf of our client. Own the full sales cycle for newly introduced software offerings, from finding first customers through closing and growing accounts. Work alongside product, engineering and strategy colleagues to shape pricing and market approach. Suited to a self-directed seller who thrives amid change and enjoys building structure from scratch.

What you'll do

  • Manage the entire sales cycle, from prospecting and discovery through demos, negotiation and closing.
  • Build relationships with senior executives and make the business case for adopting new software.
  • Find early customers willing to collaborate closely, serve as references and grow into long-term clients.
  • Work through sales involving many stakeholders, such as business leaders, technical staff, procurement and legal.
  • Contribute to pricing, packaging, ideal customer definition and overall go-to-market thinking.
  • Relay customer feedback to product and engineering colleagues to influence what gets built.
  • Devise inventive ways to open doors and build momentum without an established playbook.
  • Convert early wins and lessons into repeatable processes, messaging and sales materials.
  • Represent the business at industry events and in customer meetings.
  • Grow existing accounts as customers take on more of the offering.
  • Help recruit strong colleagues to the team.

What we're looking for

  • 5 to 8 years of quota-carrying sales experience with a steady record of hitting and surpassing targets.
  • Annual quota of at least $800K in SaaS or net revenue.
  • Background as a founding or early sales hire who generated pipeline and won business without a mature sales framework.
  • Experience running complex sales cycles with multiple stakeholders, including procurement.
  • Ability to speak fluently about accounting, ERP and ledger software and handle technical objections from finance buyers.
  • Sound commercial judgment and comfort selling products that are new or still evolving.
  • Adaptability when product, positioning and objection handling shift often.
  • Willingness to travel regularly for events and client visits.
  • Willingness to work in the office 4 to 5 days per week.

Bonus points

  • Familiarity with regulatory topics in the real-world property sector.
  • Prior involvement in bringing new products or markets to launch.
  • Health, dental and vision coverage
  • Paid parental leave
  • Commuter benefits
  • Relocation support

Location and work model

  • New York, NY, United States (Austin, Boston or San Francisco also acceptable)
  • On-site, 4 to 5 days per week in the office
  • Full-time

Compensation, as the posting describes it

  • Equity
  • Commission-based compensation
  • Retirement plan
  • Flexible time off and paid holidays
