About the company

Our client is a fast-growing consumer software company.

The role

Raydar is recruiting for this role on behalf of our client. Support a busy, growing web application as a full-stack engineer with a backend emphasis. The early period centers on keeping the system healthy and fixing defects, after which the scope widens into collaborative feature work with a teammate.

What you'll do

  • Provide backend and infrastructure support for a heavily used web application.
  • Resolve defects and make incremental improvements during the first month.
  • Take on a growing share of feature development as you settle in.
  • Partner with a colleague on product work, gradually taking on more of the product side.
  • Keep a rapidly scaling application reliable and steadily better.

What we're looking for

  • Solid full-stack engineering skills with a backend orientation, ideally shown by prior server-side work.
  • Around 2 to 4 years of professional engineering experience.
  • Habit of writing and reasoning through code personally rather than relying wholly on AI assistants.
  • Readiness to become productive quickly in a production environment with significant traffic.
  • A real personal connection to music, such as playing an instrument or knowing some theory.
  • Ideally a past side project or hackathon build in or near the music space.

Bonus points

  • Background in consumer products.

Benefits

  • Health, dental and vision coverage
  • Life insurance
  • Paid time off

Location and work model

  • San Francisco, CA, United States
  • On-site
  • Full-time
