About the company

Our client is a fast-growing software company.

The role

Raydar is recruiting for this role on behalf of our client. Own the front-end layer of a web application, partnering directly with users to shape ambiguous feedback into well-crafted screens and flows. Work alongside company leadership and fellow engineers to deliver quickly and ease the load on a small design function.

What you'll do

  • Talk with users in shared chat channels to learn what is frustrating them and convert that input into interface improvements.
  • Pick up front-end and design-related tickets and see them through to release.
  • Build clean, easy-to-use interfaces with React and Next.js for multi-step business workflows.
  • Decompose loosely defined asks into concrete product solutions.
  • Work closely with leadership and engineering colleagues to influence direction and release frequently.

What we're looking for

  • Background in a fast-moving early-stage company, or close involvement with the startup world.
  • Based in San Francisco or willing to relocate (relocation is provided), for a fully in-office role.
  • A computer science degree from a highly ranked university.
  • Skill at turning problems reported by users into actionable written specifications or direct fixes for developers.

Bonus points

  • Previous experience as a founder or early team member at a young company.
  • Familiarity with AI, large language models or prompt design.

Benefits

  • Health, dental and vision coverage

Location and work model

  • San Francisco, California, United States
  • On-site, 5 days per week in office
  • Full-time

Compensation, as the posting describes it

  • Equity
  • Flexible time off
