Basalt Health did something useful in its funding announcement: it named the functions it plans to grow. The live job board adds role and pay detail, with one small mismatch candidates should notice.

On September 24, 2026, Basalt announced a $20 million Series A led by returning investor NEA, with Frist Cressey Ventures and 25m Health participating. The company says the round brings total capital raised to about $24.5 million. It plans to expand from admissions into discharge and payer workflows and grow sales, marketing, implementation, and engineering.

The hiring snapshot is concrete. Basalt's company jobs page, observed September 26, 2026, displayed four linked openings. The Gem board behind those links returned five full-time, remote US roles, adding a Technical Operations Lead that was not displayed on the company page.

The two engineering listings, Staff Platform Generalist and Staff AI Engineering, each publish annual base pay of $150,000 to $220,000. The Founding Account Executive / Director of Sales base-pay range is $100,000 to $130,000, with no published OTE figure. Demand Generation Specialist lists $90,000 to $125,000, and Technical Operations Lead lists $80,000 to $100,000.

All five roles predate the financing announcement. The engineering roles were first published in January, and the other three in August. The Series A therefore does not prove that it created any of them.

For candidates, ask which roles are immediate post-round priorities and how the company defines success in the first six months. For Basalt, the hiring story still has one open question: implementation is a named use of funds, but no implementation opening appears on either board. Clarifying whether that work sits with a new hire, an existing team, or a partner would make the plan easier to evaluate.
