Funding announcements are often vague about where hiring will land. Cyera's release and live job catalog point to two concrete areas: regional commercial coverage and technical work around data, identity, and AI security.
On September 22, Cyera announced a $400 million investment from Growth Equity at Goldman Sachs Alternatives. The company describes it as an extension to its Series G, which was led by Evolution Equity. Cyera says the capital will support its AI Security roadmap, deeper federal expansion, and continued growth across EMEA and APAC.
The hiring board is large, but the count needs care. Cyera's Comeet catalog, observed September 27, contained 219 job-location records. Some requisitions appear once for a region and again for individual cities. Collapsing those location variants by their shared base position ID leaves 180 distinct open positions.
Sales accounts for 101 of those positions, followed by 27 in Customer Success and 17 in research and development. The remaining roles include marketing, product, research and other functions. Technical openings include AI Researcher, ML Engineer, AI Research Team Lead, Full Stack Team Lead for the AI team, and Product Manager, AI Security. The board also contains federal sales, marketing, and customer-success roles.
The catalog is a September 27 snapshot. It does not show that the Goldman extension created all 180 positions or identify a post-investment hiring target.
If you are considering Cyera, ask which product and customer segment the role actually serves, which geography owns the budget, and how success differs between data security, identity security, and AI security. For founders, this is the useful standard: connect the financing plan to named functions, then make the role boundary clear enough for a candidate to evaluate.
