On September 22, 2026, Firecrawl published its Alexandria launch and $75 million Series B announcement. Smash Capital led the round, with Altos Ventures, Nexus Venture Partners, Y Combinator, Freestyle and Offline Ventures participating. Firecrawl says Alexandria combines official data providers, custom connectors, Firecrawl indexes and the live web, and that some of the funding will support payments to knowledge providers plus better search and broader source coverage. The post also claims more than 1.5 million users. Those product and usage figures come from the company.

The Firecrawl careers page still says it plans to reach $100 million in annual recurring revenue with fewer than 50 people. When reviewed on September 23, the linked Ashby board contained 31 full-time postings across engineering, growth, legal, operations, and revenue and success. The company has not published a timetable for filling all of those roles, so the listing count cannot be treated as a headcount forecast.

The listings are more informative when read one at a time. The Product Engineer, Parse role is full-time and on-site five days a week in San Francisco or Toronto. It lists $235,000 to $260,000 USD a year for San Francisco and $217,000 to $233,000 CAD for Toronto, plus equity. Applicants must be authorized to work in the US or Canada; the posting says Firecrawl cannot sponsor US visas and will consider Canadian sponsorship case by case.

Compensation labels also matter. The Forward Deployed Engineer, Revenue listing gives $209,000 to $265,000 USD as on-target earnings, not base salary. It is full-time, on-site five days a week in San Francisco, includes equity, and says US work authorization is required with no current visa sponsorship.

If you're evaluating Firecrawl, ask current headcount, which openings are immediate priorities, and how each role connects to Alexandria or the existing scrape, search and parsing products. For revenue roles, ask how much of target earnings is guaranteed base pay and what results unlock the rest. For engineering roles, compare the actual location, currency, and office requirements before comparing the headline range.
