Footprint announced its Series B on September 16. Eleven days later, the useful question is how its stated expansion plan compares with the roles a candidate can actually apply to.
The company release says Footprint raised $25 million in a round led by QED Investors. Footprint says the capital will double its engineering and sales teams, advance its Percy and Trust Fabric products, and support expansion into a new San Francisco office. The announcement does not provide the current team sizes, target headcounts, or a timetable for reaching that doubling goal.
Footprint's Ashby board, observed September 27, returned exactly 11 open jobs, all in New York City. Five are technical delivery roles: Member of Technical Staff openings for frontend, backend, infrastructure, and security, plus Forward Deployed Engineer. Four are commercial roles: Account Executive, Director of Sales, Sales Development Representative, and Head of Partnerships. The remaining two are Founding Strategy & Ops and Head of IT/Compliance. No San Francisco role was live on the board.
All 11 listings predate the funding announcement. Their Ashby publication timestamps run from June 16 through September 1, so the board does not prove the Series B created any of them.
Ten of the 11 listings publish compensation. The four Member of Technical Staff roles each list $180,000 to $260,000 in annual salary plus equity. Forward Deployed Engineer lists $170,000 to $205,000 plus equity. The Account Executive role lists $120,000 to $140,000 in salary, the same range in commission, equity, and stated on-target earnings of $240,000 to $280,000. Director of Sales is the only listing without published compensation.
Candidates should ask whether current openings remain New York based, when San Francisco hiring begins, and which roles count toward the doubling plan. Founders using a multiplier like "double" should publish the baseline and timing. That turns a financing promise into a hiring plan people can evaluate.
