Island is recruiting across engineering, security, sales and the teams that support a larger company. For candidates, its latest funding round is a reason to ask where an individual job fits into that expansion.
Island announced a $400 million Series F on September 24, 2026. Evolution Equity Partners led the round at a $6.4 billion valuation. The company says it employs 1,000 people.
CNBC reported that CEO Mike Fey plans to grow the workforce to 1,500 by the middle of 2027 while investing in research and development and expanding in Europe, Asia and the Middle East. That is a reported plan, not a count of approved openings today.
Island's careers page showed 37 distinct positions when reviewed on September 24. Engineering and security roles span Dallas, Tel Aviv, Glilot and Toronto. Support openings include Sydney and Reading, while sales positions cover the United States and United Kingdom. The board also lists a Dallas benefits and compensation manager, senior sales recruiter, growth marketing director and RevOps analyst. The mix extends beyond building the product to supporting its customers and workforce.
The role details still deserve a close read. Island's Senior Software Engineer in Dallas is full-time at Dallas HQ, while an Account Executive opening is listed as Remote US. Neither reviewed page publishes a salary or OTE range. The Dallas location label also does not specify the required number of office days.
I would ask the hiring manager how the position connects to the expansion: what needs to happen in the next year, whether it is a new seat or a replacement, and which team owns the result. Then clarify cash, variable compensation, equity and workplace expectations for the specific location. A large raise can make the company's direction easier to understand. Those answers tell you whether the actual job is a good fit.
