Kastle's funding announcement describes a plan to expand three functions. Its current job board gives candidates a clearer view of what some of those roles pay.
On September 17, Kastle announced a $24 million Series A led by Insight Partners. Y Combinator and Commerce Ventures participated again, while Fifth Wall and other investors joined the round. Kastle says it builds AI agents for financial services, beginning with consumer lending workflows that operate across banks' existing systems.
The company says it will use the funding to expand engineering, product, and go-to-market teams, deepen the platform, and support more North American deployments.
What the current board shows
Kastle's Ashby board displayed 13 openings when reviewed on September 22. The roles included on-site San Francisco positions across engineering, product, sales, operations, and internships, plus one remote AI Trainer listing.
Published examples included Staff AI Engineer at $250,000 to $350,000 with equity, Staff Engineer at $250,000 to $320,000 with equity, Forward Deployed Engineer at $170,000 to $250,000 with equity, AI Deployments Lead at $200,000 to $250,000 with equity, and Senior Product Manager at $200,000 to $250,000 with equity. The board labels these as compensation ranges. It does not establish where an offer will land or the value of equity.
For candidates, I would separate three questions. What work is already running inside customer operations? How much travel or customer-site work comes with a deployment role? Who owns risk and compliance when an agent takes action across a lending workflow?
For founders, publishing a range removes one avoidable uncertainty. It still needs a clear scope, interview process, and explanation of how cash and equity fit together. Transparency works best when the rest of the hiring process is equally concrete.
