Three executive hires show where Lightning AI is adding leadership. Its job board gives candidates a more specific view of the work underneath them, including published pay ranges for engineering and recruiting roles.

On September 24, 2026, Lightning AI appointed Heather Paduck as chief financial officer, Betty Junod as chief marketing officer, and Jarlath Doherty as chief people officer. Paduck was CFO of STACK Infrastructure, Junod was CMO and SVP of Heroku at Salesforce, and Doherty was CPO at Squarespace and Collibra. Executive chairman Sam Yagan connected the appointments to the company's next phase after its January merger with Voltage Park.

Lightning's Greenhouse board showed 54 listings on September 25. One was a general-interest application, leaving 53 named openings. The mix covers engineering, research, data-center operations, finance, sales, security and people roles. Four Data Center Technician postings cover separate locations. The board also includes a Global Head of Talent Acquisition and a Compensation Business Partner. The appointments do not establish that these jobs are newly created.

The GPU and Compute Infrastructure Engineer posting lists anticipated U.S. annual base pay of $180,000 to $220,000. Platform Engineer, Forward Deployment lists $180,000 to $250,000, and Global Head of Talent Acquisition lists $240,000 to $280,000. Offers depend on experience, skills, location and role expectations. Eligible bonus, equity and benefits are separate from those base ranges.

For candidates, the breadth is a reason to be precise. Ask which team owns the role, how its priorities are set, and how location changes the package and workplace expectations. Customer deployment, physical data-center operations and research are different jobs even when they sit under the same AI-cloud label.

For founders, the recruiting lesson is in the detail. Naming the function and publishing a clearly labelled pay range gives someone a useful starting point. The interview should then explain the actual work, decision-making authority and measures of success.
