SiMa.ai's $150 million Series C gives candidates a reason to look at the chip company, and its careers board gives them specific work and pay to consider. All 18 engineering roles listed on September 29 were posted before the previous day's funding announcement. That makes the role, location and salary details more useful than the headline alone.

The funding claim

In its September 28 announcement, SiMa.ai said Fidelity Management & Research Company and Amplify co-led a $150 million Series C. The company also stated that the round brought total capital raised to $500 million and valued it at $1.45 billion. Those valuation and total-funding figures are company claims.

The announcement does not specify which current requisitions the financing supports or how their budgets may change. Posting dates establish when jobs appeared publicly, not when their budgets were approved.

The hiring board was already open

SiMa.ai's live Jobvite board, observed September 29, listed 18 named engineering jobs: 12 in San Jose and 6 in Bengaluru. The general application is excluded from that count. The newest posting was Apps Engineering on September 9, 19 days before the funding announcement. The oldest was PCIe Verification from October 28, 2025.

The six Bengaluru roles do not show numeric salary ranges on their pages:

What the San Jose roles pay

All 12 San Jose postings use the label annual salary for the following U.S. dollar ranges. Dates below are in 2026 unless otherwise noted. Eleven also say the listed U.S. range reflects base salary only and excludes equity and other compensation. The SoC Architect page publishes an annual salary range without that explicit base-salary sentence. None of these figures should be described as OTE.

Jobvite itself has two conflicts. The visible Apps Engineering description says $120,800 to $193,300, while its structured salary field says $203,800 to $315,900. The Factory Board Test description says $155,400 at the low end, while its structured field says $155,004. I used the visible role descriptions above. A candidate should confirm the range with the recruiter before treating either number as an offer boundary.

What candidates should ask

The useful question is not whether a fresh round means SiMa.ai is suddenly hiring. It was already hiring. Ask how the financing changes the team plan, which of these openings are replacement versus expansion roles, and whether the published range still matches the recruiter-approved band.

For a San Jose offer, separate salary, equity and any bonus in writing. For Bengaluru, ask for the local-currency range rather than translating a U.S. band. If you are comparing Physical AI opportunities, Raydar's pieces on OpenAI robotics compensation and PicoJool's optical AI hiring provide two other role-level reference points.

The practical information here is concrete: 18 live engineering jobs, 12 published San Jose salary ranges and dates that all predate the round. The funding headline may change what comes next. It should not be used to rewrite when these openings began.
